EVERYTHING BOULDERING
- From the Asana website: Summed up in a couple of words, Asana Climbing is "Everything Bouldering". Asana was birthed in Jamey Sproull's garage in 1999. With support from the local Boise crowd, Asana began designing and marketing crash pads in 2000. Still today, we are deeply committed to supporting climbers and the climbing community as a whole. Asana sells almost everything a boulderer/climber may want or need: custom landing systems for climbing gyms, personal outdoor bouldering pads, chalk bags, and climbing packs, chalk and lifestyle clothing. Asana is in business partnership with the Asana Climbing Gym, a 18,000 square foot bouldering specific climbing gym, and with Stitch Fabrication, our sister company, who runs its daily affairs out of a 10,000 square foot manufacturing warehouse in Boise, Idaho. Most of the gear you see in our catalogs is built in Boise, Idaho, USA. We also work with a huge network of people around the country and world to share Asana's vision with people everywhere. At Asana, our deep passion for the sport of bouldering and for the climbing community is evident in so many ways that we can't help but think of ourselves as...Everything Bouldering. |

Special alert!!! The Karabin Climbing Museum was just schwagged by the Asana Climbing company. Alvarado with Asana recently stopped by the Phoenix Rock Gym to say hello, and to my surprise dropped off a handful of Asana trinkets to add to the museum. I already have many Asana items showing on the museum site, but I didn’t have these items yet. One of the items specifically is the Asana Beta Spray bottle which on the website is listed for one million dollars!!! There was only one of these items created and I think it is more of a joke overall, but the only bottle made was donated to the museum!!!
Asana was tight in with Jaime Gangi, who died a few years ago from breast cancer. As I was showing Alvarado the museum items that are at the Phoenix Rock Gym which there is a Jaime Gangi display there, I found it really touching that he needed a minute to put his hand on the display and reflect back to all the support that Jaime personally gave to Asana. Overall - many thanks to Asana, and Jamey Sproull the owner, for the many many many fun products that Asana has created for climbing, and the many Asana products that keep the many safe from injury. |
