Display of 8 athletes was created June 2020 and is located at the Phoenix Rock Gym. I have learned over the years that when displaying shoes it is best to place the support wordage and trinkets attaching them to different thicknesses of foam core boards. Also I have the athletes put their signatures on the shoes. Big THANKS to all of the athletes that donated their shoes to the Karabin Museum!!!

Justine Poole shoes display was created April 2019 and is located at the Phoenix Rock Gym. I really like how she added her own personality to the display with fun wordage about her adventures in Queen Creek Canyon, Superior, AZ. I also like how she drew flowers on her shoes accompanying her signature. Big THANKS Justine!!

Two athletes shoes display was created March 2022 and is located at the Phoenix Rock Gym. After a year of creative begging, I was able to acquire a few more pairs of Athletes shoes for the museum. Yes!!! So I created a display for the shoes which I will add to the museum space at the Phoenix Rock Gym at the end of the week. For this display I

knew that super climber Ella Fisher has been climbing super strong and ticking off many outdoor difficult boulder problems. Ella donated her bouldering 2021 sends shoes, but then she surprised me by donating a second pair of shoes that she wore in the 2021 Youth World Championships in Russia. In that competition Ella placed 6th in her category!!!

I also acquired a pair of shoes from super climber Scott Stuk. Scott has sent many difficult routes and boulder problems and knowing that he has been really focused on climbing First Ascents, it was a perfect time to score a pair of his old shoes for the museum. Besides many hundreds of routes and boulder problems that these shoes have climbed, 81 of the climbs were First Ascents.

Four athletes shoes display created November 2016 and is located at Focus Climbing Center. Definitely some powerhouse climbers shown in this display. Big THANKS to the athletes for donating their shoes and comp trinkets to the Karabin Museum!! Note: Cody's send of Man In Black V11 at Priest Draw was a first ascent!!!! (Presently listed in this display as second ascent).

Seven Athletes shoes display was created December 2014 and is located at the Phoenix Rock Gym. This display features many superstar climbers seen many times in the climbing magazines. The shoes are within the large schwag box located half way up the stairs to the Karabin Museum at the PRG. Big THANKS to the athletes for donating their shoes to the Karabin Museum!!!

Years ago the Access Fund called me and asked if I was interested in a pair of shoes they have that was left over from a climbing auction they had. At the auction nobody bid on the shoes, not even one penny. When I received the shoes I just about fainted. The Kronhoffer shoes were originally worn by the legendary Shawangunks climber Dick Williams in 1959. Dick was a Vulgarian that climbed the routes in the nude. These shoes are considered priceless in the Shawangunks climbing history!
