AMC patches - the fabric on these two patches are different.
From: Dan Langmade. - The piton shown on the patch is a Doug Black ring angle piton which were being made in that 1964 era. Doug Black was one of only a few piton manufacturers that offered a stainless steel ring, and in 1964 Doug Black may have been the first to sell pitons with stainless steel rings.
