What is cool about the GPIW Winter 1974 newsletter is that it included a page of paper templates of which people could use these templates to self drill lightening holes into their Chouinard Hexentrics to make them lighter. So Chouinard offered these templates but at the same time were still producing their Hexentrics and offering them to the public still in solid form. In 1976 Chouinard eventually sold their Hexentric set where the larger size hexentrics had the lightening holes factory drilled from the manufacturer.
