Climbmax Gym was built and owned by Mike Fitzgerald, Mike Covington and Javier Gonzalez.
- Tony Yaniro helped build the gym.
- When Climbmax Climbing Center closed in 2003, Mike Covington found a new location in North Phoenix to build a new and improved Climbmax Climbing Center. Eventually the location changed to Tempe AZ where Mike joined with Mike "Fitz" and Javier to create the gym. The name Climbmax Climbing Center changed to Climbmax Gym.
