CMI Beamchocks c.1975 Set of 12 My friend Rich and I were developing a route on Apache Leap at Queen Creek canyon, and when we returned absolutely exhausted to our vehicle and sat down, another group of climbers arrived at the parking area. I overheard one of them say, "I am not sure what I am going to do with those blue chocks, maybe make wind chimes out of them." I of course stood up and asked, "What blue chocks?" At that time I only had one of the CMI beamchocks donated by Arno Illnger. Suddenly I have the whole set and in mint condition donated by Ed LaCroix. I was in the right place at the right time for sure. The Arno Illnger Beamchock was then donated to Stephane of the Nuts Museum in Corsica.
