- (Narrator)

Bill moves from Los Angeles to Santa Monica CA, and spends most of the year 1965 pondering his frustration with his perceived lost friendship with Yvon and Tom. Bill spends most of his time working at his job at McDonnell Douglas……thinking.

Instead of climbing big rock walls, Bill still wanted to be in the mountains so in 1965 he did a few alpine climbs on Mount Sill and Mount Abbot, which his partner got injured on and they had to retreat from the climbs. Bill turned his attention to training for rescue situations.

Bills experiences during the alpine climbs turns his attention back into wanting to be a gear manufacturer, providing “The best Gear for all Mountaineers.”

.............................................................................................................................................

Yes DOLT is back in business! And I just improved my design on my exquisite hammer holsters. I made sure that now my company name is Trade Marked (TM).
Picture

First thing of business is to redesign my logo punches that will be on all of my products.
Picture

Next order of business is to patent all of my products so if there is going to be any copying of my gear, I will have a legal backing to stop the problem.
Picture

This is one of my first new nylon hammer holsters. And check out the tiny plastic piton I include with it that will be on everybody’s keychains. All mountaineers will think of DOLT!
Picture

Super tiny but the plastic will last forever.
Picture

The hammer holsters will be available in a variety sizes, of colors and color combinations!
Picture

I made friends with Don Lauria, and he now is opening a new climbing store named West Ridge Mountaineering. This is exciting where he said he will carry my new DOLT products in his store.
Picture

I will advertise the DOLT company in every issue of Summit magazine. Of course here Summit places my DOLT hammer holster ad along side the Chouinard hammer ad…..well thats coincidental but good times! But I can take it!
Picture

Maybe to stop the coincidences I create new full page advertisements that explain to all climbers how my nylon hammer holsters are the best and how DOLT makes the best product any climber will have. Look for the DOLT trademark!

"The DOLT holster is a must for climbers that need the best!"
Picture

Another great ad stating how all climbers will see the true quality of my hammer holsters. Such quality that I now place the statement on them that they will last a lifetime. I now call the hammer holsters, the “DOLSTER.”

"The DOLT trade mark is a symbol for DOLT pride, hope, and identification."

"DOLT appreciates climbers who have equipped themselves with a really super DOLSTER."
Picture

Oops I misspelled DOLSTER which should be DOLTSTER. But this is a perfect time to announce that I am now making pitons!
Picture

This is the year of the DOLT.
Picture

I am proud to announce the new line of DOLT products available for Mountaineers.

Also for the eighth ascent of the Nose Route I equipped the climbers with Gold plated DOLT pitons. The eight Nose Route ascent also is on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of DOLT.

Picture

Let me reexplain the situation of the DOLT plated pitons. There were only four gold plated pitons made, each climber was given one as a memento of the climb.
