This past Easter instead of me making all of the Ukrainian eggs, I got to be coach for the family. My Aunt Marie just survived Cancer and she was psyched to learn how to make eggs, also my cousin Tina was interested in making a few eggs. It was fun having the family together and sharing in hugs and stories, while creating. Process includes bees wax, colored dyes and an electric Kitska. Love and Blessings to the family!
I got to sleep in the bedroom with the most Christmas decorations.
My family visit started off at my moms house, where on Thursday night she was singing in the church choir for the Easter service. Of course she insisted that I was going to be singing in the choir as well. We were in the church upper balcony singing. I have not sung following sheet music in a long time but I was figuring it out rather quickly. But this was a special mass where people were getting their feet washed etc. Near the end of the mass the choir met with the Priests and then followed the priests to the basement for extra Blessings for the saints etc. Somehow I was the first singer that followed the priests and then it was told to me that I was on the hymns numbered page, and I needed to be on just the numbered page to be singing the correct song. So that was definitely a fun moment as I scrambled to find the correct song while all was in motion. All worked out so that was fine.
I have not been to a Church mass service in a while so I was excited being involved. I did notice that when I was presented with the Communion, I felt moved by it. It was like all of the churches sensory things were happening, but then everything seemed to come to a obvious halt as I was with the Communion, and I knew it. So there is power in the Communion!
