From the eGrips website: Established in Boulder, Colorado in 1991, Trango is an athlete-driven brand committed to pushing the boundaries of Climbing and enhancing Climbing technology. Renowned for producing top-tier Climbing equipment, Trango offers some of the world's most popular Climbing holds and iconic gear. Additionally, Trango serves as the US distributor for Tenaya Climbing shoes. ................................... MK - The eGrips website mentions Trango in 1991, but Trango in the early 1990s was selling Yaniro climbing hold products. By 1995 Trango stopped carrying climbing holds. eGrips as I remember didn’t come onto the scene in the USA until the early 2000’s, and even then the products shown at the Outdoor Retailers Show being in the Trango booth, were separate companies. I could not purchase the holds directly from Malcolm at Trango, and was instructed to purchase them directly from the eGrips rep that was at the show. In the Trango 2015/2016 catalog is shown the “New” Rock Prodigy hang boards. The first mention of eGrips holds in a Trango catalog is in the 2017 catalog, and from then on eGrips became a Trango product.
