When I first moved to Arizona I was working for a furniture and sporting goods company named Marstons. A guy approached me looking for somebody that was good at art and asked if I could create some trophy footballs for him. I never painted a football before and figured I would give it a go. I never thought that it would lead me to painting dozens of footballs over a four year period. Painting a football is not a easy task especially since I am a perfectionist. The signature footballs I was working with had a white panel usually used to get players signatures upon. So one mistake with the paint on the white leather meant it was ruined. I really enjoyed creating different ways to paint these footballs especially painting the lettering. Some of these I put a lot of heart into the creations. Unfortunately I was using Kodak film to take photos of the finished creations and over time the photos faded and became blurred. I wish I had good photos of these paintings.
