Stubai began marking their business name on their products starting in 1955. So in the late 1950s, existing products were still being maintained being sold in stores while the transition was happening going from a plethora of Austrian companies marking the products with only "Made in Austria," to one companies mark: Stubai. The ring ice pitons that are marked "Made in Austria" were possibly being made by F.Ralling in the earlier 1950s, pre-Stubai.
So three possibilities for these later 1950s ring ice pitons being shown: - Made by F.Ralling - Made by F.Ralling for Stubai - Made by Stubai (with no mfg mark) |
