Teacher Paramahansa presented a challenge to me to create a story titled, ”Through Love, show me how to bring happiness to a gold mine that was not panning out.” Honestly I have been very busy lately and gave it no thought. But as I was loading up my vehicle this morning and about to turn the key, on sudden impulse I ran back inside, put my fingers onto the computer keyboard, and within minutes this story came forward from me. It was like the story just wrote itself. I will first show the story, and then below I will dig deeper into the stories message, and then this writing will end with a few extra notes.
Gooder Management, by: Marty Karabin, 2/5/2026
Its another day in the 1800s where the small frontier town is being awakened by the sounds of roosters crowing, chickens clucking and donkey brays. The restaurant announces on its clanking bell that breakfasts are being prepared and are almost ready to feed the hungry, and the many people in the town arise to another day all starting off with a big yawn. This is a humble town but yet still has its occasional problems that every town at that time experiences.
One day a new face arrives into the town who is a gentleman that once worked for a large mining company. He chose that frontier town because he liked the setting it was within and he noticed that the creeks in the valleys were always flowing with water. So once he established himself in the town, he then advertised that he was looking for a crew of people that may be interested in working a particular creek and panning it for gold. The daily pay was not that good, but it was a job that has guaranteed pay. A few people came forward and joined him in the job opportunity.
So off to the creek the people went. Since the gentleman was leading the people, they already considered him to be the Foreman. The Foreman scoped out the creek and came upon a nice area where the banks of the creek widened. This will be a great location to pitch a few tents creating a few clusters of camps here and there.
On day one of the job the shovels picks and pans were handed out and the Foreman showed the workers how to do the job most efficiently. The Foreman found a place that most interested him and started to dig, and the others began to dig as well. But a week goes by and no gold is to be found. Then another week goes by and still no gold is found. The workers are now noticing that the sun is hot, the days are long, and digging for gold is hard work. But yet the workers receive their daily pay without fail.
Sure in town there are other jobs that are available that the pay maybe the same amount as what the Foreman pays them, or some jobs that pay a little more. Jobs like cleaning out the horse stables, painting the frontier houses, cleaning up the spit that misses the spittoons while the celebrating and drunk card players are laughing in the saloons. Maybe a opportunity will open up where the restaurant needs another cook, and more career jobs like being a banker which requires a person to have more of a schooled background to be able to get.
Back in the creek the workers are becoming tired and take more breaks in they day then when they first started the job. They are becoming discouraged, but yet when they look over at the Foreman, the Foreman is still holding a smile on his face, and is digging and panning just as fast as when the job first began. The Foreman is still working the full days.
Looking at the people that are on the job. There are a few teenagers, the larger amount of people are middle aged, and a few older people as well. The teenagers are not as experienced as the other workers, but they are keeping up. There is the strong older guy that is outworking every other person daily, even outworking the Foreman. He has a family to feed back in the town, but at the same time he just likes to work and is happy to have guaranteed money coming in. This person usually remains quiet.
Within the middle age people are the philosophers, the drinkers, and the complainers. The complainers of course always judge their worth as they are doing the most work and deserve more pay for their efforts. They even attempt to produce allies with other workers to get a bigger gang together to force the Foreman to give them more pay. “You know this work is hard.” The philosophers hang on the best they can, and the drinkers, well, they are just happy as long as their habit is being catered to.
Another day back in the creek and the workers gasps are becoming louder as they take their breaks while leaning on their shovels, and still remain puzzled while they stare at the Foreman, whom is working just as hard as he did on the first day the digging began, and he is still showing a smile. Suddenly a teenager yells aloud that she has found something. All of the workers and the Foreman run to her as her smile lights up the job site, and in a crazy screaming way within her dance, she presents a gold nugget to the crew. Everybody cheers and pats her on the back. The Foreman is thrilled. There is now confirmation that gold is in the place that he chose. The Foreman retains the gold nugget and all of the workers go back to working, and working this time while holding a smile.
At this point in the story, now that gold was found, trust becomes a issue within the minds of the workers. The teenage girl could have simply pocketed the gold nugget and cashed it someday elsewhere, taking a chance on not becoming known as a thief. But she didn’t.
The digging continued and a week goes by, and no other gold is found. The smiles on the workers faces diminish and the gasps become louder once again. The Foreman, instead of placing the only found gold nugget in a safe, used a piece of tape and taped the nugget to the inside of his camp window, so everybody could look at it and admire it at any time they wanted. At any time also, anybody could have smashed the window and stole the nugget. In the morning the Foreman rang his bell which announced that it was time to start the day, and get the digging started once again. Hewas always the first person to get out of bed. The Foreman greeted everybody, and joined in with the morning conversations amongst the workers.
Another week goes by and the workers are becoming discouraged, but yet they are still receiving their promised pay. But then a miracle happens, and another gold nugget is found. Everybody cheers in celebration. And by chance alone, two more gold nuggets are found the following day. This really brings this job into a new perspective, as the workers see that there is more gold in this creek than they thought. The digging continues and more gold is found. The Foreman now is totally psyched, and is enjoying the new energy the cache of gold has brought to his job site. Another morning begins and when the Foreman wakes up and goes to ring his bell, he notices that the workers are already in the creek working, and now he is the last one out of bed in the morning.
The Foreman goes into town bringing in the found gold, and cashes it in for monies. The monies that the gold produced, is shared amongst the workers as a bonus for the hard work that they had remained with since the overall beginning of the job. The workers are thrilled! And as more gold was found, the workers daily pay was increased, and promised bonuses became month after month.
The word was out that gold was found at the Foreman’s camp, and other people came forward inquiring if they could also join in with the digging, assisting with the hard work, not just because of the pay, but because of the enjoyable environment that the workers were now experiencing. The enjoyable environment within something called … work.

Rereading the story a few times over and digging deeper into it, I am finding that this writing is brilliant. I still feel that I am not the true author of it, even though I wrote it.
- The Foreman simply asked if anybody wanted to work with him. - The Foreman didn’t interview anybody nor did he only target stronger people for the job. - The Foreman handed out his personal tools for the crew to use. - The Foreman was not the strongest of the workers, but he kept a average working pace showing the other workers how to do the job best. - At no time did the Foreman become disappointed with any of the workers. - The Foreman was enjoying the work that he was doing, and that showed in his daily smile. - The Foreman showed that he trusted his crew. - The Forman trusted in himself. - The Foreman was true to his word, as everybody received their daily promised pay. - The Foreman got to know his crew on a personal level, by being with his crew and having conversations with them. - The Foreman didn’t need to create any allies relationships with any of the workers. - The Foreman was not attempting to stop the drinkers from drinking, and control the complainers from complaining. - The Foreman was respected and he didn't force to be respected. - The young female teenager is the one that brought new energy to the entire crew. - The Foreman didn’t just pocket the money that came from the found gold, he shared it “equally” with the crew. Equally with the weakest worker, and equally with the strongest worker. - None of the workers left the job. - Other people outside of the original crew asked if they could join in the work, without needing to know first what the pay rate was. They were just seeking a good job.
- In reference to the Drinkers in the story, that does not represent that the drinkers are drinking on the job, they are doing that on their own time. When I was a teenager a company owner stated it like this: “What I don’t know is fine, what what I do know is a problem, and a company that is paying you does not want problems.” ………………........................................……
Now that this story has come forward, what I am seeing is that when Teacher Paramahansa told me that my next writing was going to be about a gold miner, I thought that I was going to be the one that had to come up with the writing and the all of the story etc. But I feel that the reality of this piece, is that the story was written by Teacher Paramahansa and I was the vessel that he used to bring this story forward, and once written I am the one that will teach upon the stories content, and share his message to everybody.
No kidding. I was just about to turn the key to start my vehicle in the morning, when suddenly a impulse of energy consumed me and I hastily went to my computer keypad and then 20 minutes later the entire story was completed. As it was being narrated, I felt like I was almost having trouble keeping up with my fingers typing in the individual letters that formed the story. Afterwards I gave it a read once more and there were a few misspelled words which I fixed, and I had the word that Donkeys were “Honking,” where I looked it up on the internet and changed the honking word to “brays.” And that was it! Besides the title, I had absolutely not a thought of how to write this story. It just happened!
I have watched many western movies over time so I am well versed in that lifestyle. But I feel if I was to write this story myself in reality it would have taken around 2 hours to form and edit etc since my ego would have been involved. “Marty you did good, so that deserves a pat on the back!” As my fingers were hitting the keyboard keys, I was laughing at the text as I was being with the story completely as though I was simply reading the story and not writing it at all. My laughter was not through me being clever on creating certain parts of the story, my laughter was just because the story was fun to read. I know for sure that this story was created before I even wrote it, and even though it came out of me, I was not the true author, just the vessel. I love when the Divine shares its glowing energy and partners with my life in a high level form. Its like time is not even present, and I know that I am where I was designed to be perfectly at that exact moment.
