Gripstone Out of Control Climbfest

Marty's review: Totally awesome fun comp!! I was psyched to be a competitor in this comp bringing on the tights and face paint!! Two hour qualifying round and the top 5 competitors moved on to the Finals. Finals were combination score of two Bouldering routes, and one Lead route. Finalists were brought into the Finals by random order, not pertaining to how well they did in the qualifiers. I found this to be a fun twist for the spectators in the crowd. Not the usual weaker to stronger lineup. Fun prize raffles followed the Finals show. Props to the Gripstone staff!! I know comp days are very exciting, but long and tiring, however the staff was always available with a smile. All of the comp routes were very well set. Props to the hard working course setters!! I purchased a Latte from the Gripstone cafe, and I found it to be "Out of this World!!" So Good! I also won one of the raffles!
