K2 piton

When I first saw this piton I thought it was a Selppa piton, but to my surprise it is marked K2. The piton was on a carabiner of many pitons all from the 1950s so I assume this K2 piton is also from the 1950s. Does this also show that the Selppa pitons are also from the 1950s?

Note: For the photos the word "Selppa" is incorrect since I do not know if K2 made the Selppa pitons or Selppa made the K2 pitons. Tag should read: K2.
