Leeper Logan Hooks Logan hooks were first created in the late 1960s. Design by Jim Logan and Ed Leeper. In the 1982 Leeper catalog it mentions that Chouinard became interested in the wider base design of the hook and redesigned the Chouinard hooks to have the same wider base. The Chouinard wider base Cliff Hanger hook became available in 1975 copied from the Leeper Logan hook design.
