Leeper Nut Tools

Ed Leeper created three different nut tools. The Hustler, The Hooker, and the Jiggle-O. I am not sure exactly when Ed first created nut tools but my guess was in the early to mid 1970s. In the 1982 catalog Ed mentions that in 1975 he was working on the nut tool hook design for his Hooker nut tool with help from Bob Culp. If Ed in 1975 perfected his hook design for his nut tools then why on the Jiggle-O nut tool was other hook designs created if the Hooker nut tool came first? So far I have found five different generations of the Jiggle-O nut tool.

The first generation of the Leeper Hooker nut tool has three cuts on the end.

The second generation has two cuts on the end and is shown in the 1980 Leeper catalog.

The third generation has two cuts on the end and has a notch added on the shaft near the hook end. The notch was added for use in grabbing the trigger bars of cam units. Shown in the Leeper 1982 catalog.
