Spring Sandbag Climbing Festival
April 27, 2024 Presented by the Phoenix Rock Gym The comp was limited to 70 competitors 39 Sponsors total - Awesome!!! $60.00 to enter Four Categories: - Recreational V0 - V2 - Intermediate V1 - V4 - Advanced V3 - V6 - Open V6 and up The top three competitors male and female in each category received a PRG competition ribbon. The open category also received cash. Male and Female, 1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50 3 hour competition: 6pm - 9pm Saturday Award ceremony: 9pm - 10pm Top 3 boulder problems climbed for score Competitors receive a comp T-shirt, a competitor packet filled with coupons and stickers and mfg schwag. All 70 competitors received a raffle prize for participating, so everybody wins!! 12 Side Events: Participating in the side events gain extra raffle tickets for prizes. The fastest times on some of the side events also gained a prize. - One Hand - ( Logan Ernst 10:51 seconds) - Blindfold Route - ( Logan Ernst 16:15 seconds) - Lord Of The Rings - ( Anthony Craig 16:45 seconds) - Question Of Balance - Iron Maiden - Spinner Route - ( Nicholas Oxentenko 20:46 seconds) - Two Person - ( Andrew Guerrero and Taylor Mortensen 20:45 seconds) - Toss The Tape - Sandbag Lift - Actual weight was 31.6 pounds. Tie score: ( Eva Wong and Ryker Monik guessed 30 pounds). - Karabin Climbing Museum - Actual items amount was 136. ( Foster Burton guessed 135). (Closest without going over). - Ninja Warrior Course - Four Peaks Obstacle Course - ( Quentin Ernst 26:07 seconds) Side Event raffles only included the competitors that entered that individual side event. The second raffle ticket gets 1/2 the monies from the raffle tickets sold. The other 1/2 of the monies is donated to the Access Fund. A third ticket was drawn winning a three month pass to the Phoenix Rock Gym. Everybody can get into the Cash Pad raffle, competitors and spectators.
