I wanted to come up with a way to show the many trinkets of schwag I have obtained over the last 30 years, so I got a idea of creating a bookcase style display case that will be able to hold bigger items as well as the small trinkets. In this display there are over 7000 items all centering on rock climbing. This display is located in the Karabin Climbing Museum at the Phoenix Rock Gym.
First I built the shelves for the bookcase at my house, and then over a few months time I positioned all of the items in a artistic way within what was to become the display. Then I recreated the exact display in a space at the Phoenix Rock Gym. Each section of the display was boxed up individually and then recreated following photos taken of each section. I installed many strips of LED lights to the underside of the shelves which brought the display to life! Once completed three patio glass doors were installed protecting the display overall.
