I always loved trinkets relating to rock climbing and over the years I acquired a mass quantity of them. So instead of storing them in shoeboxes, I wanted to find a way to display them and share them to everybody as a art piece. So in the spring of 2007 I built a bookshelf unit at my house and began to figure out how to fit the many pieces into it. I was really surprised on how many pieces I had so final count in this bookshelf type case was just topping over two thousand pieces. Once the layout was completed I installed the shelving onto a wall at the Phoenix Rock Gym and then recreated the exact layout I had previously put together at my house. This schwag art piece came out amazing and I could see everything I had within it, in one view. Last year I removed this display and added it to another display upstairs in the Karabin Museum at the Phoenix Rock Gym. That display I call the schwag bookcase display that has over 10,000 pieces of schwag within it. Climbing totally rocks!
