SINGING ROCK is one of the world leaders on the market of climbing equipment and professional protective equipment for work at height, military and rescue. Our company is located in the heart of Europe in the Czech Republic near Krkonoše National Park and Bohemian Paradise where are situated the amazing sand stone rock climbing areas. Most of our staff are climbers and together with our sponsored athletes and professionals we are able to develop, test and improve our high quality climbing and personal protective equipment.
- 1992 - SINGING ROCK founded by Vladimír Křapka, Pavel Končinský and Jan Goddefroy
- 1994 – the first sport harnesses manufactured by Singing Rock were certified by UIAA
- 1995 – purchase of the first automatic programmable sewing machine for sewing strength seams
- 1995 – manufacturing of the working harnesses and full body harnesses began
- 2000 – Singing Rock certified according to ISO 9001
- 2001 – a former textile plant in Poniklá was bought in order to add static and dynamic ropes into the manufacturing portfolio
- 2002 – creating a patented ROUTE 44 technology for making of the static and dynamic ropes
- 2003 – a patented ROCK&LOCK buckle for the harnesses and full body harnesses was developed
- 2004 – relocating the manufacturing, warehouse and the company management from Semily to Poniklá2006 – opening of the 1st training and educational centre Polygon Poniklá
- 2009 – selling Singing Rock s.r.o. to the private financial fund ARX Equity Partners. At the same time Singing Rock s.r.o. and Lanex a.s. merged. The successor company had a business name Lanex a.s.
- 2011 – opening the 2nd training and educational centre Polygon Kladno
- 2011 – acquiring Raveltik s.r.o. in order to extend the portfolio with the metal products; expansion to the market with products for ice climbing and mountaineering (ice axes, crampons, ice screws etc.)
- 2013 – splitting the Singing Rock division from Lanex a.s. and reorganizing back to Singing Rock s.r.o.
- 2013 – the training and educational Polygon Singing Rock Centres certified by the IRATA system
- 2015 – ARX private Equity sold a 100% share to Mr. Rudolf Bochenek as a majority owner and Mr. Rudolf Gregořica as a minority partner
- 2017 – Mr. Rudolf Gregořica sold his share to Mr. Rudolf Bochenek, Singing Rock becomes a part of BR Group
