Soon after the 1988 June Snowbird Championship, Kent left the business and gave it to Dan. Kent and Dale Bard formed the climbing holds company Vertical Concepts. Dan moved Sport Climbing Systems to Berkeley California and continued making Roks and beautifully sculpted climbing walls.
