Lowe Snargs were first created in 1975. They are not shown in the 1976 Lowe catalog. The Snargs were manufactured in two different lengths, and had many different finishes. Only the long 9" Snarg was available where the tube was threaded or non threaded. The shorter 6" Snarg was only available in threaded.

Lowe discontinued making the Snargs in 1990, and in September 1990 introduced a new Snarg named Fat Snargs available in 6" or 8" lengths.
