Stubai 1970s steel Fiechtl pitons. Both pitons do not have a Stubai mark. Only a "CVM" mark.

Stubai 1970s Angle pitons

(right) - showing the Stubai V-Angle pitons in the 1970 Eiger catalog. This catalog mentions the SST steel which is marked on the pitons. Not sure how far back into the 1960s these SST pitons may have started.

Stubai 1970s Ring Abseil piton. At some time the Stubai in diamond logo was added to a few gear items.

In the Stubai 1980 catalog it shows a piton named "Salewa Security Piton." I am not sure this piton is being produced by Salewa for Stubai to use, or Stubai decided to use it and are giving credit to Salewa for the design. In the catalog is shows a Stubai logo on the Salewa named piton. I don't have Stubai 1970s catalogs and I believe this piton dates to the 1970s. All four of these pitons have no manufacturer markings on them.

For a few years I was considering this piton to be made by Albert Lutz since I came across this piton on ebay marked Albert Lutz. I am not sure the history of Albert Lutz or if this is a Salewa piton or Stubai piton that was provided to Albert Lutz.

This is a Stubai Narrow French Form soft metal piton that has the Albert Lutz stamp on it as well as a Stubai stamp. So Maybe Albert Lutz products were provided through Stubai.

This French Form piton has no manufacturers markings on it. I believe Stubai names it a French Form piton since it is a 1950s Simond design.

Stubai mid 1980s catalog (?). This catalog shows a different design for the Bong piton. The later 1980s Stubai catalogs show the same bong piton as the early 1980 Stubai catalog.
