The Phoenix Rock gym, (Thrash & Dangle Enterprises), opened in August 1992 in Tempe at its first location on Roosevelt road. In the USA three rock gyms opened in 1992 which puts the Phoenix Rock Gym in a four way tie for the 6th rock gym built in the USA. The gym moved to its new location in Tempe off of University Drive December 2000.
