This mandala has a Fourth of July feel to it. Maybe I may name it "The Spirit Of." Overall the center detail came out beautiful, but I never completed the piece. I guess I can sign it now and call it completed. Drawn in December 1983. 15 1/2" x 15 1/2" black ink on white poster board. 30 hours.

I started this mandala but put it to the side and didn't return to finish it. This drawing with hundreds of little circles led me to creating a bigger piece named "Sixty Seven Thousand and Sixty Eight." Because the art piece had 67,068 perfect circles on it. But unfortunately a house flood ruined the piece.  This mandala was drawn in 1984.
15 1/2" x 15 1/2" red and black ink on white poster board. 18 hours.

This mandala named "Infinity" was a lot of fun to create! The challenge was to not use the black ink to create outlines for each color circle. The black ink was only used in the open spaces between the color circles. So each circle was first drawn in its respective color and the design came out amazing!!! So each circle created the outer border line without having a pre drawn outer line to contain the piece within. This is not madness but a way of reaching deeper into having the self and the art piece become the only thing of importance in the now. 22" x 22" completed October 1985. Color ink on white poster board. 180 hours. Unfortunately this piece got ruined in a house flood.
